laughing boy

One of the greatest joys in life is hearing your child laugh.  This evening, while doing some baking, bursts of laughter came from the family room.  Cade was reading one of the blog books.  True, good, clean, for-real laughter.  It's the best.
The fact that he was laughing because of stuff I wrote was a bonus.  It made me feel like I did something right by my kids.  And it made me wish I could have a little more time to focus on doing that now.... blogging has become a "I better quickly catch up before I get too far behind" deal instead of luxuriating in the joy and fun of it.  Letting myself giggle in the process.  Maybe some day that will happen again....
But forget all that serious stuff.  Cade was having a good time.  And Eric and I were having a good time watching him.

He was laughing at stuff I wrote about our cat, Nolly.  Then he was laughing about stuff I wrote about Lucy.  Then he was laughing about stuff I wrote about Mia.
Good thing he wasn't reading stuff I wrote about him.  The laughter may have stopped!
